About me: I completed my Ph.D. at UC San Diego's Department of Political Science in spring 2012. In fall 2012, I begin my appointment as an assistant professor of political science at the Ohio State University. My primary research interest is in American politics, with a focus in state and local politics, direct democracy, and local political economy. In 2009-10, I was a research fellow at the Bill Lane Center for the American West, Stanford University. I was awarded the 2010 Alma H. Young Emerging Scholar Award by the Urban Affairs Association.
